Assisted Living Nurse Creates One Last Husker Memory for Resident

Due to failing health, an elderly season ticket holder since the 1960’s was unable to attend home games… until his nurse went above and beyond.

OMAHA: A true fan of college football, evening charge nurse for Heritage Pointe, Beau Rusk reached out to the Nebraska Football program on behalf of a Memory Support resident who has been a life-long Husker fan. Due to Don Chase’s increasing dementia, he is no long able to attend his beloved Husker Football games. Beau emailed the husker football program, and together they worked to create an amazing experience for Don and his family.  Read more.
