Meet Christine Shupe
Executive Director at The Heritage at Legacy
As the Executive Director, I have the privilege of overseeing my team and all the daily operations to keep things running smooth for the residents. I have a Bachelors of Science degree in Healthcare Management, as well as an Associate’s degree in Long Term Care Administration. In 2015 I was hired to open this community, and it has been a dream come true for me! My role allows me to support the managers, so they can efficiently run their departments. This means that I monitor the budget, purchase items they need, plan for the future, and ensure our residents are given the quality services they need. What I love most about my job is spending time with the residents and making sure they are happy here at Legacy. I love being able to influence the team and create a positive culture for the staff and the residents.
Here at The Heritage at Legacy, our residents are what makes us unique. I have never seen a more caring group of people, they embrace every new person who enters here and are so welcoming. Because this is such a new community, they are aware of how a person feels when they are the new resident. They will invite the new person to dine with them and they will show them around the building. We have some very independent residents, and they get stronger and healthier after moving in with us. The building allows for walking groups without worrying about the elements. The friendships are strong because everyone shares the same experiences from the 50’s, 60’s 70’s and today. The staff is not in on the jokes - and they like having their own stories to share with us. Humans are social, and having others to laugh with is good for your heart and soul.
I would like to invite you to stop by for a visit, and experience The Heritage at Legacy for yourself!
