Meet Carol Johnson
Executive Director at Heritage Pointe
As the Executive Director, my role is to do whatever it takes to ensure our residents are getting the services they need, along with a great experience. I also work with our fabulous team of associates to make sure they have the resources they need to provide quality care. I received my B.S. at Creighton University, and shortly thereafter received my M.P.A. through the University of Nebraska at Omaha. I have been working with seniors for nearly 30 years in the assisted living and skilled nursing settings. I love that every day is a new day, and presents unique opportunities. I also enjoy talking with the residents to learn about their heritage. One of my favorite stories is hearing a resident shared that her grandmother was born on this very land, in a barn. She remembers visiting her grandparents here in the early 1900s when it was her family’s farm, including multiple cherry trees that she would snack from. Upon hearing this story, we recently planted an orchard with 20 different fruit trees, near our memory support building. Four of those trees were cherry trees, and are a tribute to the resident and her family that used to farm this land many years ago.
Heritage Pointe is a spacious community, inside the building and outside. There is plenty of room for you to move around and participate in a variety of activities. Each resident impacts the dynamic of the community, and your unique personality and interests make a difference in the day to day feel and atmosphere. Please accept my personal invitation to stop by for a visit, and experience Heritage Pointe for yourself!
