How We Enjoy Bellevue Life

Many Heritage Ridge residents have come from the Bellevue and Omaha area, so naturally they appreciate all our region has to offer.

Cultural attractions abound near Bellevue. As we provide complimentary transportation at Heritage Ridge, getting where you want to go is a breeze.

Lauritzen Gardens is a breathtaking treasure in all four seasons. Explore this living museum and all the unique educational exhibits. Fontenelle Forest is surrounded by over 2,000 acres of Nebraska’s most beautiful upland and lowland forests, and offers a multitude of natural sites and experiences.

Sarpy County Museum is small but mighty. It provides visitors with a great historical overview of Bellevue – the oldest town in Nebraska – and its surrounding areas. Old First Presbyterian Church is indeed both. Founded in 1856 but modernized with great care, it boasts a thriving community as well as historical archives that will delight visitors and locals alike. Fontanelle Bank, also built in 1856, was constructed mostly of brick and still stands in solid condition. It has a unique and entertaining history, and you won’t want to miss it if you like stories of intrigue and money!

Golfers love the fact that several highly ranked courses are just a short drive from Heritage Ridge, including Tregaron Golf Course and Willow Lakes Golf Course.

Local and visiting music lovers will always remember their visit to The Orpheum, Omaha’s jewel performance theater. The Holland Performing Arts Center is equally breathtaking, and its flawless acoustics make listening a joy, no matter where you sit.

If your idea of a good day includes a great meal, then you know that nothing beats Stella’s burgers. Stella’s Bar & Grille has been serving Bellevue’s best burgers since 1936. In fact, they’ve been named “Omaha’s Best Burger” 10 years in a row. What about an entire restaurant dedicated to meatballs? Yes, indeed! When you visit The Blackstone Meatball, you’ll quickly discover why its fans increase every day of the year. Truly unique and absolutely delicious!

If you like to cook, you must visit Volcanic Peppers. One of the best small independent food stores in Bellevue, the shop grows its own peppers (approved and registered by the FDA) and offers an incredible variety of peppers, spices and salsas.

Shoppers will enjoy Westroads Mall because it has just about everything you could want, plus accessibility, fresh design, and a smart variety of stores for people of all ages. Enjoy dining, shopping, movies, events and more.
