Our Care Philosophy for Respite Care
Nothing helps healing more than human connection and a compassionate care team by your side. The Heritage at Shalimar Gardens provides excellent support with activities of daily living and compassionate assisted living services in a highly social community. This can be tremendously helpful for families and seniors who are in need of temporary support.
You or your loved one might find yourself discharged after a medical procedure but not feeling fully comfortable going home yet. We invite you to enjoy a short-term recovery and respite care stay at The Heritage at Shalimar Gardens. We partner with other providers to offer additional therapy and skilled nursing support in our apartment homes to assist in your recovery after a fall or a medical procedure. Our team will work with your physicians and other providers to coordinate your care and continue treatments and therapies while you stay with us.
Alternatively, if your regular caregiver is going on vacation or you might find yourself in a situation where you need support and care temporarily, The Heritage at Shalimar Gardens can provide respite care for up to three months. Our highly trained team of caregivers is available 24/7 to support you or your loved one allowing you both peace of mind. Some families choose to reduce the stress of caregiving by allowing our team to care for their loved one in our community through Nebraska’s challenging winter months. Across the board, we’ll help you Live Better and feel healthy and able from the moment you walk into your last day in our care.
Respite Care Services and Amenities
When you choose respite care at The Heritage at Shalimar Gardens, you gain 24/7 access to our skilled caregivers and a supportive environment with the friendliest neighbors in Fremont.
Additional support services include:
- Medication management and supervision
- Assistance with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Off-site transportation equipped with a chairlift as needed
- Personal safety pendant call system for 24-hour assistance
