Frequently Asked Questions

You can feel the warm and welcoming atmosphere as soon as you step inside our Peoria senior living community. The front of the building is always filled with life, whether our residents are on their way to the pool or heading back to their apartment from the chapel. It’s all centered around our beautiful dining room, which has grand cathedral-style windows that let in tons of natural light. Discover Living Better at Heritage Communities.

Assisted living provides residents help with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, grooming, dressing, using the restroom, and more. Before move-in day, we’ll conduct a physical assessment to see how much support your loved one needs.

Memory care provides a stable environment conducive for residents living with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia. Our friendly caregiver team offers support with day-to-day tasks and engaging activities that promote mental wellness.

Many assisted living residents end up moving into memory care in some capacity. Learn more about transitioning into memory care on our blog.

Orchard Pointe at Terrazza is proud to offer Peoria senior living homes with a pool. This community is the only Heritage property in the Phoenix area with a pool, offering you or your loved one the opportunity to get active and cool off from the hot desert sun. We also have a fun movie theater and pub in our building where you can watch a flick and grab some delicious soft-serve ice cream—something that all our residents rave about!

We know you may have some questions about how to pay for a senior living stay, particularly if this is uncharted territory for your family. Orchard Pointe Communities only accepts private sources of payment or veteran’s benefits. Residents often tap into their savings and retirement funds or the money that comes from selling their previous home to pay for their new place.

There are senior living insurance options out there you can look into for additional help. Generally speaking, insurance can provide coverage for costs of in-home care, assisted living stays, or a residency in a nursing home, and you may find help with extended fees.

Explore this guide on how to fund your senior living needs for additional resources. You can also use our free family decision tool kit guide to learn more about how we help residents live their best lives.
