Personalized Memory Care Services

Portraits®

Our exclusive memory care program, Portraits®, is based on multisensory activities that bring joy and therapeutic benefits to our residents and follow the philosophy of Dr. Maria Montessori. This program creates an enriching, therapeutic experience for residents with Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, and other impairments.

For example, we cared for a resident who was a passionate numismatist or coin collector. We recognized this as a major part of his life experience and structured our therapy approach around coins and other objects that brought joy. Personal passions can open up pathways to maintain existing cognitive functions. This personalized approach allows us to create unique treatment programs that are fulfilling and therapeutic.

Family Involvement and Support

Regular family updates, support group meetings, and one-on-one sessions with social workers are all part of our commitment to keeping families connected and informed. We provide resources to help families navigate the challenges of memory loss, offering support and guidance every step of the way.

Our weekly interdepartmental meetings, which we call Spotlight, aim to continuously adjust our care plan to better suit the needs of those you care about. At this multi-disciplined meeting, we discuss each resident’s situation and determine the next steps or changes needed in their care plan. If the situation warrants, we notify family members of the changes we are seeing and our plan of action.
