What To Expect With Orchard Pointe at Creek Valley Memory Care

Orchard Pointe at Creek Valley is built with your loved one in mind. Our community, which opened in May 2024, proudly provides options for memory care services in Carrollton with thoughtful care strategies and treatments that are personalized for each resident. All our associates are trained to follow Portraits, our  Montessori-based method of dementia care, which emphasizes respect through positive reinforcement and one-on-one support. We focus on providing positive reinforcement after each bit of progress is made.

Personalized Memory Care Services

Portraits®

At the core of our memory care services is our esteemed Portraits® program. This specialized service inspired by the Montessori method takes a careful approach to helping your loved one thrive. Our team interviews your family and talks with your loved one to learn more about their life story, hobbies, occupation, and preferences. With that background, we carefully craft your loved one’s service plan incorporating activities that your loved one will relate to and will build their confidence.  Our caregivers give them the support they need with activities of daily living (ADLs) and social engagement. They’ll have a personalized activity plan that excites them for each day while providing ample time to feel joy and laugh.

When you tour our community, you will see Portraits stations throughout the area. Each is designed to engage our residents in a cognitively stimulating activity. These colorful stations feature a yellow sign that serves as an invitation and a reminder of what to do.
Our residents and their families rave about how the Portraits® program makes them feel seen. Orchard Pointe at Creek Valley’s philosophy is to meet residents where they are. Instead of forcing them to engage in new activities and entertainment, we’ll set them up with what is familiar to them based on their history and preferences. By encouraging them to enjoy things that are familiar to them, we help them connect with their passions and boost their self-esteem.
