Heritage Communities is thrilled to announce that Lisa Colbert will be joining our team as Regional Director of Operations for our Omaha metro and Iowa communities. Lisa will transition to the organization in late September, and begin working closely with the communities in her region starting in October.

Born and raised in South-Central Nebraska, Lisa attended Dana College in Blair where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration & Organizational Communication, and also played volleyball. After graduation, Lisa developed her leadership and customer service skills working in retail management. In 2005, she joined an insurance company (Humana) and played an integral role in educating and enrolling seniors in Part D Medicare plans. This opportunity was Lisa’s first professional role that allowed her to serve seniors, and ignited a purpose and passion to this line of work.

For the past eleven years Lisa has worked in Senior Living, first as an Executive Director, then as a Regional Director of Operations with increasing territories and responsibilities. From sports involvement growing up, through her career transitions, Lisa has always taken pride in growing and developing teams. She gets joy out of seeing others grow in their education, role and responsibilities, and has guided countless employees through career growth.

Lisa is excited to join a Nebraska-based company, that allows her to continue serving seniors while developing teams at the same time. Lisa lives outside of Lincoln with her husband of 18 years. They have a 12 year-old daughter and 2 year-old son, are members of Sheridan Lutheran Church and die-hard Husker fans!
